Shawnee Smith (born July 3, 1970, height 5' 3 is an American actor and actress in television and film as well as a musician. Smith's most well-known roles include in the roles of Amanda Young and Linda on the CBS sitcom Becker. Smith was a member of the group metal Fydolla ho with which she toured The United States and United Kingdom. She is also half of Smith & Pyle Smith & Pyle, an American rock group that formed with Missi Pyle. Shawnee Smith's parents were Jim Smith and Patricia Smith. Jim Smith was an former pilot in the US Air Force, a financial planner and oncology specialist. Smith's family moved out of South Carolina to Van Nuys California in the year she turned an infant. Her parents separated when she was two and her mother remarried when she was 8. She attended Ranchito Avenue Elementary School in Panorama City Los Angeles and Madison Jr. High in North Hollywood. North Hollywood High School was located in North Hollywood, California. The students in 1987 graduated. Within the same calendar year she starred in What am I going to do with my life? The tour included a week-long residency with Just For Laughs.
